The worst thing that can happen to you in crisis is when everyone thinks it is the only thing that matters. You don't have a life other than thinking about the situation and all the conversations are about that and only that.
You as a person have been forgotten. The reason you want to talk to others is not to discuss the shit that is running in your head but actually to get a break from it. Instead, all you get reminded of is the crisis and that is the only thing needing focus on, you just realize how irrelevant you as a person are.
Please, do me a favor, for once think I am an individual first, the one who needs care, attention, conversation, etc. Im not defined by my crisis, my problems, my issues, I can manage it, I might fail, repeat mistakes, make it worse or better, but I can manage it.
If you cant see me as an individual and treat me normally, and the only thing you have to talk about is the crisis, then realize that it is not care!
Friends not just give ideas to help with the crisis, they try to divert, rejuvenate and make you relax and laugh even if it is laughing at yourself or the situation.
